Taylor Swift will soon be back on the big screen: The musician will play alongside Hollywood stars in a new film.
Taylor Swift (31) returns to the big screen. The US singer is said to be part of the cast of the new film by star director David O. Russell (62) and production company New Regency. That now reports among other things the American trade journal “The Hollywood Reporter”.
Swift is said to play alongside Hollywood greats like Robert De Niro (77), Margot Robbie (30), Rami Malek (40), Zoe Saldana (42), Chris Rock (56) and Christian Bale (47). Nothing is known about the plot of the strip so far, but production is said to have already been completed.
Swift already gained acting experience
For Swift it is the first role in a film since the “Cats” filming in 2019. In the musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber (73), she played the Bombalurina. In addition, she appeared in the comedy “Valentine’s Day” (2010) and played alongside Meryl Streep (71) in “Keepers of Memory – The Giver” (2014).
Most recently, Swift won a Grammy for her album Folklore. The record was the best-selling album of 2020. The streaming service Disney + even published a documentary about the production of the album: “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions”. Also last year Swift released their ninth studio album, Evermore.
