Tchia dwells on her Soul Transfer mechanic with new images

Colorful production from the Bordeaux studio Awaceb, Chia is one of those titles that caught our eye. Announced at the end of 2020 and first expected for this spring, the adventure game was finally postponed until next year to refine its development. This does not prevent it from communicating during this non-E3 period with a trailer released during the Epic Games conference.

Illustrated Soul Transfer

With its shimmering colors and atmosphere inspired by New Caledonia, Chia will take us to an open-world island. If the first videos allowed us to see a little more about exploration and its environments, this new trailer focuses on one of the mechanics of the title: Soul Transfer (called Soul-Jumping in English).

Our character will actually be able to take control of the different animals or objects that she will encounter on her way. This will allow him to take advantage of their specificities and offer players a wide range of possibilities in terms of gameplay. In total, there are more than 30 animals that can be controlled and more than a hundred objects. For example, you can use the Soul Transfer in a turtle to move on the beach or under water or even a bird to fly over the heights.

However, we will still have to wait a few long months before its release: Chia is planned for the beginning of the year 2023 and will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC via the Epic Games Store.
