TCL launches the Sweeva 3500M, a robot vacuum cleaner with suction base and UV-C light

TCL is giving a facelift to its range of home appliances by unveiling several products. Among them, the Sweeva 3500M robot vacuum cleaner which takes advantage of a vacuum charging base and UV-C light to eliminate bacteria on the floor.

TCL is making a strong comeback to the home appliance sector with a plethora of new products, including a robot vacuum cleaner. After being pleased to have launched the Sweeva 6500, which received the CES 2022 Innovation Award, TCL is returning to this field by marketing the Sweeva 3500M.

With this new range, TCL wishes to distinguish itself by integrating UV-C light directly on the robot in order to disinfect the floor and eliminate bacteria. A system that is however increasingly found on robot vacuum cleaners, such as the Amibot Pure Laser for example.

The Sweeva 3500M is able to vacuum and wash the floor since it is equipped with a mop and a water tank with a capacity of 300 ml. Thus, the water is absorbed by capillarity on the cloth to wash the floor. However, nothing indicates that this mop uses vibrations to clean the floor and, in fact, the washing will probably be superficial and will not clean in depth… However, it is possible to adjust the water flow by the through the TCL Home app.

This same application also allows you to choose from the four suction powers offered or to program the Auto Carpet Boost function so that the robot activates the appropriate power depending on the floor being vacuumed (carpet or hard floor).

Like many other robots before it, the Sweeva 3500M benefits from an automatic charging base. The station is in fact surmounted by a dust container with a capacity of 4 L. According to the manufacturer, this tank is able to accommodate up to eight times all the waste from the small collector. A function that could not be more practical which prevents the user from having to drain too regularly.

Another appreciable point: the robot has a crossing capacity of 20 mm. Enough to allow it to pass over a thick carpet or chair legs without any problem. A point that we will observe during its passage through our laboratory!

On the autonomy side, the Sweeva 3500M can suck three hours before having to return to its base, which is a good endurance.

The Sweeva 3500M will be marketed in May. It will also be possible to obtain the Sweeva 3000M model which benefits from exactly the same functionalities, but simply does away with the suction base. For the time being, the prices are not yet indicated by the manufacturer.
