This Rocket League 2021-22 RLCS – Winter: Europe Regional Event 3 started with a group stage first. Within each group, the 1st team advances to the Upper Bracket of the playoffs, the next two advance to the Lower Bracket of the same playoffs, while the last is eliminated. For group A, it is therefore Luminosity Gaming winsfollowed by Team BDS and Kuxir’s Minions, Misfits Gaming is therefore eliminated. Within group B, it is Dignitas that we find at the head of the groupfollowed by the Evil Geniuses and the Karmine Corp, thus leaving Rix.GG eliminated from the competition. So we come to Group C, the Team Queso group, which surprisingly sees 00 Nation DNB winfollowed by Guild Esport and Team Queso in 3rd placeseeing Team Vitality being eliminated. Finally, group D, in which Endpoint CeX imposes itselffollowed by Williams Resolve and SMPR Esports, thus leaving Natus Vincere dead last.
The 12 qualified teams therefore meet during the playoffs of this Winter Regional Event 3. First, in the Upper Bracket, Endpoint CeX easily beats Luminosity 4-0 in the semi-finals, the same for Dignitas against 00 Nation DNB. The two teams therefore find themselves in the final of the Upper Bracket, where Endpoint CeX will eventually win 4-2 in order to join the Grand Final. She is joined there by Team Queso, who, starting from the very bottom of the Lower Bracket, climbed the ladder little by little to reach this final. First she took it away 3-2 in Lower Round 1 against Williams Resolve to join the Karmine Corp in Lower Round 2 where she also wins 3 to 2. Team Queso is then joined by 00 Nation DNB in the Lower Bracket quarter-finals and won 4-1 to join the Evil Geniuses in the Lower Semi-Final. She wins again 4 to 3 and therefore advances to the final of the Lowerr Bracket against Dignitas, who did not make the weight and lost 4 to 0.
The Grand Final of this Winter Regional Event 3 therefore opposed Endpoint CeX at Team Queso. As for format, it was a BO3 from BO7 that we found during this final, meaning that it was necessary to win two BO7s to snatch the victory. After a close final, it is nevertheless the Team Queso which imposes itselfwinning his first BO7 on the score from 4 to 3 and not letting Endpoint CeX win a single one since it also emerges victorious from the second BO7 on the score of 4 to 2.
With this victory during this RLCS 2021-22 – Winter: Europe Regional Event 3, Team Queso therefore won its second victory of the year during a Winter Regional Event, taking back its title of European champion in the process. and get the $30,000 cashprize for the winner as well as 351 lap points. It is therefore thanks to this victory first in the winter standings, ahead of Dignitas and Team BDS, with a total of 1121 points. The team therefore continues to impose itself on Rocket League esports.
