Techland on a big fantasy game with The Witcher 3 veterans

After Dying Light 2, Techland will get into fantasy. For its next AAA open-world game, the Polish studio will rely on the expertise of veterans of The Witcher 3.

Certainly confident with the rapid start of Dying Light 2 and its 5 million copies sold in a few weeks, Techland is already looking to the future. While part of its team is working on the DLC for its latest game, the Polish studio will be busy on its next big production. And no, it won’t be Dying Light 3.

From The Witcher 3 veterans on Techland’s fantasy game

Techland announced in a press release that it is working on its next. It will obviously not be a question of zombies this time, but of a whole new open world taking place in a fantastic universe. To create this new project that has been in the Polish studio’s mind for a long time, the creators of Dying Light will be able to count on the support of several veterans of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.

Among the teams assigned to this new game, Karolina Stachyra who officiated on the quests and dialogues of The Witcher 3 and who works on this title as director of narration. At his side, Bartosz Ochman, director of the open world of the last two CD Projekt Red games, but also alumni of Ubisoft, Guerilla Games, Arkane Studios or Warner Bros.

By talking about this project so early, Techland obviously hopes to attract interest from industry talent to strengthen its ranks. ” Despite the release of Dying Light 2 Stay Human this year and its intense production last year, Techland has continued to develop its next game, and now is the best time to significantly expand its team. “, explains the press release.
