(CercleFinance.com) – Technip Energies announces an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Hafslund Oslo Celsio, for a carbon capture and storage (CCS) project associated with the waste-to-energy plant in Oslo, Norway.
The project will create the world’s first large-scale waste-to-energy plant with CO2 capture. 400,000 tonnes of CO2 per year will be captured, which will reduce Oslo’s emissions by 17%.
The engineering group adds that the CO2 thus captured will then be liquefied and exported to Northern Lights, the first infrastructure network, cross-border and open source, of transport and storage of CO2.
