Technip Energies: cooperation project with Baker Hughes

(CercleFinance.com) – Technip Energies announced on Thursday the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the American oil services company Baker Hughes with a view to cooperation in the field of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The engineering group specifies that this agreement should lay the foundations for collaboration in the joint development of a new modular LNG solution for the ‘onshore’ market, with a capacity of between million tonnes per year (MTPA) .

The goal, he explains, is to reduce the time to market for LNG to meet current energy demand.

Their joint offering will combine Baker Hughes’ modular medium-scale LNG (MMS) solution, with a production capacity of 0.8 to one MTPA, with the ‘SnapLNG’ solution owned by Technip Energies.

This compact and fully electrified technology intended for infrastructures ranging from two to three MTPA covers liquefaction as well as pretreatment and utility units.

This agreement builds on the ‘long-standing’ collaboration between the two groups.
