Technoblade: the Youtubeur died at the age of 23 after a poignant message

The gaming community is in mourning. One of them died at the age of 23. On Youtube, where he was followed by over 11 million subscribers, he was known as Technoblade and was a Minecraft gaming legend. It was his father who announced the sad news, on Youtube of course. In a video ironically titled “so long nerds”he revealed that his son had succumbed to the cancer against which he was fighting bravely. Facing the camera, he read the last poignant message Technoblade had written before he breathed his last. “Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you’re watching this. I’m deadhe began, with tears in his eyes, before revealing the name of his son, Alex. If I had had a hundred lifetimes, I think I would choose to be Technoblade again every time because these are the happiest years of my life.”

“I hope you enjoyed my content and I made a few of you laugh. I hope you all live long, prosperous and happy lives, because I love you guys”, wrote the young man only a few hours before dying of a rare bone and tissue cancer. His father recounted Technoblade’s final moments: “He was struggling to write. At one point I knelt down by his bedside and said, ‘Alex, you have nothing more to do. You have done so much for so many people, million people, and if you want it now, you can rest. But if you want to write one last video, and you’re waiting for things to get a little better, I would tell you not to wait. I don’t think that things are going to get even better.’ It looks like it got to him. He asked for my laptop and wrote a few paragraphs“.

Death of Technoblade: the beautiful gesture of his parents

In August 2021, Technoblade revealed in a video that he suffered from cancer in his arm.. He then explained that the disease had been diagnosed after he complained of severe pain in his arm. In this video where he participated in a fundraiser, Technoblade revealed to have undergone chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. At the end of this last video, his father announced that proceeds from products sold by his son would now go to charity. “My son’s bravery on this journey has been a shining lesson for all of us who have had the privilege of walking it with him. Thank you for sharing his journey through it all as he made the work he loved for his beloved fans”, wrote his family at the end of this video. After this heartbreaking announcement, many members of the community paid tribute to him.
