Teenagers treated as “dirty Christians” and attacked in Rambouillet: the suspects summoned to the juvenile court


On Sunday, the alleged perpetrators attacked young people in front of the Sainte-Bernadette church in Rambouillet, promising to “kill” them.

They reportedly called their victims “filthy christiansbefore throwing several punches at them. This Tuesday, two suspects of an attack which occurred Sunday evening in Rambouillet (Yvelines) must be presented to the parquet floor of the court of Versailles, according to information transmitted to the Figaro. Both minors, aged 15 and 17, should be summoned for a guilty hearing in juvenile court, and could be placed under judicial supervision.

On Sunday September 4, they assaulted a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl in front of the Sainte-Bernadette church in Rambouillet, possibly because of their Catholic religion. The victims were first insulted and called “filthy christians“, before being threatened, the authors promising to “burst them“, according to police sources. The assailants allegedly attacked the boy, hitting him repeatedly in the face and then using tear gas.

The qualifications retained by the court are as follows:violence with incapacity for less than eight days, in meetings and because of true or supposed affiliation to a religion», with a third circumstance for one of the two, namely the use of a gas.
