Tehtris completes a new fundraising of 44 million euros

Decidedly, the specialist in the detection of computer threats Tehtris interests investors. After an initial fundraising of 20 million euros completed two years ago, the start-up with 260 employees is doing it again with a new round of investors, who this time invested the tidy sum of 44 million. euros.

This is one of the biggest fundraisers in the cybersecurity sector in recent years, confirming the status of potential unicorn, these companies valued over a billion, of Tehtris. By way of comparison, a month ago, the publisher of the anti-phishing software Mailinblack had collected a little more, 50 million euros, while Gatewatcher, specialized in the fight against advanced intrusions, had raised 25 million. euros at the start of the year.

Expansion abroad

Financed by Jolt Capital and the first investors of Tehtris, Tikehau Ace Capital, Open CNP, and Nouvelle-Aquitaine Co-Investissement, the fundraising should allow the company to continue its international expansion. While remaining faithful to its tricolor DNA, the company was launched in 2010 by two former DGSE employees, with these French funds.

Tehtris has its sights set more particularly on Hong Kong, Japan, Canada, Spain and Germany, countries which already have subsidiaries. The company, which will use the funds to hire and develop new products, specializes in the threat detection niche, XDR (Extended detection and response).

This indigestible acronym designates a platform bringing together a range of tools allowing, upstream of a simple antivirus software, to detect suspicious activities on information systems. Even if we must be careful not to see it as a miracle solution, this type of technology has proven itself, as evidenced by the timely detection of a computer attack by ransomware by the city of Caen, equipped with detection software threats from HarfangLab, as noted by Le Mag IT.
