Tekashi 6ix9ine was attacked by a group of men at a Florida gym. The US rapper had to go to the hospital.

The American rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine (26) was attacked by a group of men in a gym in South Florida in the US state of Florida last Tuesday and then taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The musician’s lawyer confirmed the incident to the US celebrity portal “TMZ” and explained that Tekashi 6ix9ine was in the studio’s sauna when he was suddenly attacked by several men without warning. The rapper tried to fend off the attackers, but they didn’t give him a chance when outnumbered. At the time of the attack, there was no security with the musician.

Injuries after attack

As “TMZ” further reports, the gym staff noticed the attack and immediately notified a manager. The police and emergency services were then called and the musician was taken away in an ambulance. Photos of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s face after the attack show cuts and swelling. According to the celebrity portal, the musician is said to have sustained injuries to his jaw, ribs and back.

Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was arrested in 2018 for illegal gun possession and involvement in an armed robbery. He is said to be associated with the US gang Nine Trey Gangsters, a splinter group of the Los Angeles Bloods gang. During the trial, after which he was sentenced to two years in prison, the rapper testified against members of the gang and wrote to the judge showing remorse for his actions. It’s currently unclear if the gym attack has anything to do with Hernandez’s statements.
