Tekken 8: a closed beta in July to put the netcode to the test

To participate, you must register on the official website. PS5 players will be treated to a first beta session from July 21-24, before PC and Xbox Series X|S join them from July 28-31. Yes, PlayStation is spoiled with two separate sessions, that’s how it is. As part of this network test, only the ranked mode will be available, and your progress will be reset by the final release. If you are selected for the closed beta phases, Bandai Namco will notify you two days in advance.

Double ration of slaps

In terms of content, this closed beta will be very generous. Five arenas (not yet specified) will frame the fight, while we can handle sixteen brave fighters, including Kazuya, Jin, King, Jun, Paul, Law, Jack-8, Lars, Xiaoyu, Nina, Leroy, Asuka, Lili, Hwoarang and Bryan, being all the characters revealed so far.

And the sixteenth is Claudio Serafino who returns, on the sly, with a few seconds of gameplay at the very end of the summary video. The Italian exorcist has not changed much. Since he failed to purify Devil Kazuya in Tekken 7 and that it significantly upset him, he is not likely to return to the scenario to butter the crackers. Bandai Namco will certainly share a dedicated gameplay video within a few weeks.

In all of this, Bandai Namco still hasn’t leaked any release date range for tekken 8.
