Tekken 8: Bandai Namco teaser probably shows new game – announcement at Gamescom?

There could be a Tekken 8, as a teaser suggests. Also, there is a clue pointing to the official announcement during Gamescom 2022.

  • Alongside a razor-sharp image of Kazuya Mishima, it reads, “Get ready.”

Evo 2022 is a fighting tournament and as part of this event, Bandai Namco showed innovations for Tekken 7, but the end of the presentation shows a teaser.

A scene from the first Tekken is shown at first, but the pixelated grin of Kazuya Mishima, who has just thrown his father off the cliff, suddenly transforms into a razor-sharp image.

You can find the said teaser in the embedded video from time stamp 1:40. The video shows the words “Get ready” in the new picture by Kazuya Mishima.

Bandai Namco may show a first picture of Tekken 8 with this teaser. Geoff Keighley picked up this teaser and shared it with his Twitter account for the Game Awards.

So maybe there will be an official announcement about Tekken 8 during Gamescom 2022. However, the successor to the beat ’em up classic Garou: Mark of the Wolves has already been announced.
