There is a demo for Tekken 8 that not only gives you a first insight into the title, but may also reveal more about the latency times.
X user noodalls tested the input lag in the Tekken 8 demo on multiple platforms. In addition to PS5 and Xbox Series X, the user also tested PC as a possible platform.
With about 2.63 to 2.83 frames between pressing a key and registering and converting to images, the PC demo appears to perform best.
The Xbox Series X performed slightly worse. The delay is at least 3.82 frames. The PS5 is said to have performed worst with around 4.36 frames.
Using a different method, the tester is said to have received slightly lower results on the consoles. The delay on the consoles may only be 3.6 frames.
It’s conceivable that Tekken 8 would have achieved significantly worse results under Unreal Engine 4. But Tekken 8 was developed with Unreal Engine 5 and that should offer some advantages.
