Tekken 8 has been released as a new title in the beat ’em up series and even after its release there may still be various problems with the online title.

At this point we will collect the problems with login via stuttering and give you some suggested solutions that could help you. Maybe you can continue playing without restrictions.

Online modes don’t work

You cannot play online.

If you cannot play the online modes, check your internet connection. If you play on a console, you not only need a stable internet connection, but also an active subscription to PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass Core. If the problems still persist, the title could just be down. Take a look at the error reports for Tekken 8.

Error message “Failed to decompress shader”

Tekken 8 crashes after a while and the error message “Failed to decompress shader” appears.

Some players believe this is a bug in the pre-order version of Tekken 8. It might help if you uninstall the title completely and then reinstall it.

Disconnections in online modes

You can start online modes, but the battles stop after a while due to a lack of connection.

You should check whether your internet connection is working properly. If you use WiFi networks, it may help if you connect the console or your PC using a LAN cable. For PC players, your firewall may be blocking online matches. It also makes sense if you right-click on Tekken 8 on Steam and click on “Check files for errors” under “Properties” and “Installed files”. Steam itself checks whether files are missing or incorrect.

Stutters and lags

Stutters and lags occur in the game.

In online battles, you can see the connection quality at the bottom right of the screen and it will also show you if there are problems with PC performance. If the left symbol is red, then there are performance problems on your site. If the right symbol is red, then the problem lies with your opponent. If no error is displayed there, then you should check whether you meet the system requirements for Tekken 8. Alternatively, you can move the game to an SSD or lower the graphics settings and the game’s resolution. If in doubt, restarting your platform could also help.

“LowLevelFatalError”

You will receive the error message “LowLevelFatalError” and therefore cannot play.

In this case, your PC may not meet the system requirements. It may also help if you open Steam, right-click on Tekken 8 and then enter the following under the “General” menu item in the start options: “-dx12”

“Fatal Error”

You start the game and get the message “Fatal error!” displayed.

If this error message occurs, your graphics card driver may be the problem. Check whether your graphics drivers are up to date. If necessary, download the latest driver again and install it.

“Error code: C-00001-00803-1”

You start Tekken 8 and get the error message “Error code: C-00001-00803-1”.

Check whether your internet connection is stable. If this is the case, then it may be necessary to adjust your DNS settings. We have explained to you elsewhere how this works.

The fighting title Tekken 8 was released on January 26th for PC and the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 consoles. Elsewhere we will tell you which editions you can buy.

If the solutions didn’t help you, you can alternatively play many other new titles. You can find an overview of upcoming games in our game release list.
