Telecom Italia intends to continue its split project, says its boss Labriola

TRANTIO, Italy (Reuters) – Telecom Italia (TIM) will pursue its planned spin-off to maximize the value of its assets in the interests of its shareholders, the boss of the Italian telecoms operator said.

“The most important thing is to maximize the value of all assets in the interest of all shareholders,” said Pietro Labriola, the managing director of Telecom Italia during an economic event in the city of Trento in Italy. .

Vivendi, TIM’s largest shareholder, said this week that the French group would not support the sale of Telecom Italia’s fixed telephony network if its fair value is not recognized.
