An improved download manager
Version 3.6.0.0 of Telegram on Windows brings with it a large number of new features. To be precise, this update is not intended to fix bugs, or even improve the performance of the application, but rather to make the user experience more complete on Microsoft’s operating systems.
It is first of all the download manager that will interest us. Indeed, the latter has been redesigned on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Now, when you have finished downloading a file, the application will systematically notify you through a pop-up notification, which will appear in the lower left corner of your screen. What’s more, if by mistake you were to close the application window during a download, an alert would then be sent to you. Finally, the download manager allows you to find all the files already downloaded by going to the advanced settings of Telegram.
Standardize the cross-platform experience
This latest update unmistakably shares similarities with the latest version of Telegram that recently rolled out on mobile. This is undoubtedly with a view to optimizing the cross-platform experience of the instant messaging application.
First of all, this version 3.6.0.0 on Windows 10 and Winodws 11 allows you to make live broadcasts from XSplit Broadcaster and OBS Studio. As you will have understood, this feature is primarily intended for content creators, although you will need to have the latest version of Telegram to enjoy it as a viewer.
Finally, with a view to maximizing the search function, it is now possible to connect to a user without necessarily having their telephone number. For this, the application allows you to create a unique username from the settings. In addition, and still like the latest update of Telegram on mobile, the desktop version now allows you to share a t.me link directly to your phone number in order to start a conversation instantly.
