2024 - Télématin: Did Julia Vignali reveal her marriage to Kad Merad live?

At the head of a new edition of Télématin in duet with Thomas Sotto on Thursday September 8, 2022 on France 2, Julia Vignali dropped a short sentence on the air which suggests that the host married in secret with her companion Kad Merad.

Former incarnation of the show The Best Pastry Chef alongside Cyril Lignac and Mercotte on M6, Julia Vignali made the choice to abandon the presentation of the program, and at the same time to leave the channel directed by Nicolas de Tavernost in 2021. Initially, the presenter had explained that she wanted to devote herself to her activities in the production . Nevertheless, Kad Merad’s companion quickly decided to join France 2, with the aim of taking the lead in the cult show Telematin. Julia Vignali thus presents the emblematic morning show of the public channel from Monday to Thursday, in duet with Thomas Sotto. The editions broadcast from Friday to Sunday are embodied by Maya Lauqué and Damien Thévenot.

If the audiences of Telematin were not looking good since the replacement of William Leymergie (left for C8) by Laurent Bignolasthe show’s new formula carried by these two new duos won over viewers of France 2. Indeed, audiences for the program have started to rise again, and the beautiful complicity that reigns between Thomas Sotto and Julia Vignali on the set has something to do with it. The two animators have got into the habit of teasing each other with benevolence. However, they sometimes say a little too much on the air. This is exactly what happened on Thursday, September 8, 2022, when Julia Vignali launched a short sentence about her relationship with the actor Kad Merad.

When talking about an auction of items related to the cult film Jurassic Park, journalist Anne-Claire Poignard asked the following question: “Julia, Thomas, have you ever dreamed of having a dinosaur in your living room?“.”Obviously. But I have one in my living room“, Julia Vignali immediately replied, in order to gently make fun of the one who shares his life. “Yes. I think of my husband!“, added the presenter of Telematin afterwards. Although Julia Vignali regularly evokes her romance with Kad Merad on France 2, this is the first time that the host presents him as her husband. It would therefore not be very surprising if the two lovebirds officially passed the ring on their fingers in secret recently.
