(CercleFinance.com) – Teleperformance announces that it has decided to withdraw from the most offensive segment of its content moderation activity (Trust
and Safety).
While the company says it believes ‘the content moderation business (Trust & Safety) is an essential first-response service aimed at protecting all of society in the digital world’, it says opting out of the segment most offensive of its content moderation activity was ‘the most adequate decision’.
From now on, Teleperformance intends to partner with its customers to find appropriate alternatives to its current activities in this
line of services, while increasing the attention paid to the safety and well-being of employees.
Thus, “the group will no longer sign a new contract of this type”, assures Teleperformance, which specifies that it took this decision after consulting a large majority of its shareholders and the financial community concerning the perception of its content moderation activity.
