Teleperformance confirms its 2022 objectives after 14.6% growth in the 1st quarter

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Call center manager Teleperformance on Tuesday confirmed its full-year guidance for 2022, after reporting an increase in first-quarter revenue.

For 2022, Teleperformance still expects recurring organic growth – excluding the impact of Covid assistance contracts – in its turnover of more than 10% and aims for a 30 basis point increase in its current operating margin. The group is also counting on organic growth of more than 5% and intends to continue targeted acquisitions, “creating value and aiming to strengthen its high value-added activities”.

Teleperformance delivered the outlook as the call center manager’s revenues stood at 1.96 billion euros in the first quarter, reflecting growth of 14.6% year on year as reported and 6.5 % like-for-like. Excluding the impact of changes in Covid assistance contracts, growth was 11.1% last quarter.

“Despite a particularly demanding base effect in the first quarter and

a macroeconomic context disturbed by the war in Ukraine, we recorded sustained organic growth in our turnover”, commented the CEO of the group, Daniel Julien, quoted in a press release. “We benefited from a strong commercial dynamic , particularly in the Iberian-LATAM zone and in India, in a rapidly changing and growing market”, continued the manager.

“The recent strategic acquisitions of Health Advocate and Senture in the United States have also contributed significantly to the group’s development over the quarter”, indicated Daniel Julien. “We recently significantly limited our commitments in Russia, where our exposure remains below 1% of our turnover,” said the CEO.
