Telephone canvassing is increasingly supervised. Since January 1, 2023, commercial canvassing platforms will no longer have the right to send SMS or call individuals from numbers starting with a 06 or a 07. The centers must now use numbers starting with 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 or 09, in accordance with the new national numbering plan launched by Arcep (Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications, Posts and Press Distribution).

The numbers on which direct sellers are authorized to call you begin with 0162, 0163, 0270, 0271, 0377, 0378, 0424, 0425, 0568, 0569, 0948, 0949 for metropolitan France, 09475 for Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélémy, 09476 for Guyana, 09477 for Martinique, 09478 and 09479 for Réunion and Mayotte. You should also know that the numbers starting with 09 37 to 09 39 can be used by canvassers to send messages from a commercial brand to its customers, or for special contact (delivery of parcels, notification of the arrival a VTC driver, automated appointment reminder, etc.).

Limited canvassing during the week

Also note that from March 1, 2023, direct sellers will have to respect specific time slots.
