Louise Bernard

A joyful garden party that turns tragic. This is the pitch carried by Andréa Bescond and Éric Métayer, to whom we owe the film “Les chatouilles”, selected at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. The TV film broadcast this Tuesday evening on M6 is also pushed by a cast of stars: Marie Gillain, Alexis Michalik, Nicole Ferroni and Ahmed Sylla will be there.

A new TV movie that is likely to make M6 viewers shiver. The film opens with this scene: friends are having drinks in a garden, it looks like a happy garden party. The discussion revolves around a bullfight pike, recently acquired by one of the friends. He turns to his companion, insists that she take the sharp object in her hand. She complies…but shoves it down his throat.

The whole film then focuses on explaining how we get there. How this woman, Anna, comes to violently attack her companion, Damien. It is a policeman who does this work by retracing the entire course of their relationship. We then understand that the most violent is not necessarily this stab in the throat, but the months of influence, of psychological violence that lead to this gesture.

Precise writing

The screenwriter, Eléonore Bauer was inspired by her own story to make the film. The writing work is very precise. And on the production side, we find Andréa Bescond and Éric Métayer, to whom we owe the film The ticklesselected at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. Both are committed to making it a high quality film, worthy of cinema but on TV.

The film is carried by a five-star cast: Marie Gillain, Alexis Michalik, Nicole Ferroni, Ahmed Sylla and Andréa Bescond who also plays the role of a friend of Anna who sees the grip, who tries to make her understand but in vain. Each character is essential and really gives an educational side to the film. Beyond being a gripping fiction, it is also a way of informing viewers about the influence. An important theme when it is a national channel like M6 which broadcasts the TV movie.

“À la folie” is broadcast this Tuesday evening on M6 at 9:10 p.m.
