Music was honored this year at the Series Mania Festival. In particular through an exhibition around credits, a conference on the theme led by the artist Yuksek, evenings co-organized with SACEM as well as a prize, awarded to one of the composers nominated in the French competition.

Six talents were in the running to win the trophy: Arthur Simonini for Bardot, Maxime Lebidois for Les Randonneuses, Stéphane Lopez for Polar Park, Julie Roué for Under Control, Rebeka Warrior and Maud Geffray for Split, and Olivia Merilahti for Aspergirl.

Composers Rebeka Warrior and Maud Geffray received this distinction during the closing ceremony for their work on the Split series by Iris Brey. We follow Anna (Alma Jodorowsky), a 30-year-old stuntwoman, who falls in love with the star she doubles. She, who thought she was happy in her relationship, will she have the courage to leave heterosexuality to confront this overwhelming desire?

I wanted to bring the feelings and emotions of the characters in the series, which are in the process of hatching. Telling a love story that starts between two women, and the surprise it creates in the heroine. The idea was to invite birth into the music“, told Maud Geffray to explain her work.

We will have to wait for the broadcast of the Split series on France.tv Slash to discover the result.
