The creators of GRAVEN, Kingpin: Reloaded or bombshell want to tackle a new genre. Spligate Ironworks indeed announced during the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase once again associated with 3D Realms to work on Tempest Rising, a “real-time strategy and base-building game set in an alternative, militaristic modern world,” inspired by the greatest RTS.
And between both single player campaigns and multiplayer modesfans of the genre should rediscover the sensations of the classics of the 90s and 2000s.
In Tempest Rising, recapture the thrills of action RTS classics with modern production and performance. Inspired by the great titles of the 90s and 2000s, this real-time strategy and base-building game takes place in a modern alternative and militaristic world. It features three unique factions that each have their own approach to combat and economy for a multitude of possible strategies, maps populated with neutral structures to conquer and neutral populations to manage, deep and rewarding gameplay that showcases strategy while rewarding mastery, plus built-in customization options to approach the game as you see fit in both single and multiplayer.
Take on the role of commander of the Global Defense Forces, a highly mobile and advanced peacekeeping faction, or wield the power of a beleaguered bloodline with the Tempest Dynasty, through two 15-minute campaigns that let you customize your army for each mission. Either way, you’ll seek to understand and control the mysterious, yet helpful, Tempest vines that grow lawlessly across a war-torn Earth. Other dangers lurking in the shadows await those who want to discover the origin of the Tempest…
