Cream launched in 2020 Temtem, a massively multiplayer game strongly inspired by Pokémonwhich then met with real success in Early Access. The studio then increased the number of updates to launch version 1.0 two years later, but now the adventure is already coming to an end.
In a long press release, Cream announces the end of Temtem updates, citing “technical debt”. Concretely, the studio pays for the decisions made during the design of the MMO, having to constantly create content, which can complicate previous additions. A vicious circle that will soon end. The game will be entitled to an update 1.7 with a new SeasonA Tamer Passbug fixes and balancing, but will come next update 1.8, which will make sure Temtem is working well before letting go. This patch 1.8 will not add Season or Tamer PassThe purchase of Novas (the currency in-game) is already deactivated, but you can still spend your Novas in the Tamer Pass or in the in-game store.
A dazzling but ephemeral success, Temtem has already been released as a franchise with Temtem: Swarm And Temtem Showdown. Cream still working on a new game in the license, but it will not be about Temtem 2.
