Collins, 53rd player in the world aged 30, announced at the start of the year that she would end her career at the end of the season. Finalist at the Australian Open in 2022, Collins has never reached the final of a WTA 1000 tournament.

2024, Collins’ final year
In this balanced duel between two powerful and aggressive players, Collins was able to seize break opportunities (3 out of 7) unlike her opponent (1 out of 10). Thanks to this success, the American will jump from 53rd to 22nd place in the world on Monday in the WTA rankings. Collins, who said he suffered from endometriosis and rheumatoid arthritis, decided 2024 would be his last season.
