A complaint for embezzlement of public property and corruption targeting the French Tennis Federation (FFT) has been filed with the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office, the PNF told AFP on Monday, confirming information from RMC Sport. “At this stage, the FFT has not received any complaint, any official information, or even any internal accusations of this type”, reacted to AFP the lawyer of the Me Jacqueline Laffont-Haïk Federation.

“They are waiting to have more elements, these subjects being taken very seriously by the management team of the federation,” she added. The complaint, filed by several executives of the Federation, is being analyzed, said the PNF without giving more details, in particular on the period covered by this complaint.

Financial management involved

The FFT had as its general manager from March 2021 to May 2022 the current Minister of Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra. This complaint comes a few weeks after the publication in the media of an investigation questioning the management methods and the financial management of the Federation since the election as president in early 2021 of Gilles Moretton.
