It had to happen with the appearance of robot dogs, people started putting weapons on them. Terminator style, or almost.
VICE newspaper surfaced a video of a robot dog with an assault rifle (seen above) and they tried to trace the source of it. Obviously the robot dog belongs to a Russian founder of a hoverbike company named Alexander Atamanov. The man had posted a high resolution photo on his Facebook last March. Soon a T-800 way Terminator?
A scary Terminator turn
In the video it is unclear how the firing system works, but still the robot is able to shoot a target with what appears to be an AK-12 mounted on a ramp system on its back robot dog. It is not the first robot with a weapon since the American military company Ghost Robotics had already tried it in 2021 with the participation of the company Sword International for the defense system. The difference here is that it is the property of an individual in order to amuse the gallery.
A technology of the future?
It is obviously an adaptation for a robot that is not made for this task, since as we can see the robot does not seem to be able to manage the recoil of the weapon well with a loss of balance sure to use. We are obviously far from a T-800, but it shows all the same that each technological invention can very quickly be diverted to make a dangerous use of it.
