Terra 2.0: new launch and airdrop date

Investing.com – Today was supposed to be the big day when 2.0 would rise from the ashes like a phoenix, but it won’t.

After the collapse of the first Terra blockchain, it was unclear if and how it would continue.

Founder Do Kwon, however, received enough support to create an entirely new blockchain that dispenses with a stablecoin. We thus clearly wish to prevent the Terra project from sinking again. Because it was ultimately the which sounded the death knell for the first Terra blockchain, after losing its link with the dollar.

Today, the project team announced that the Terra 2.0 mainnet launch has been postponed until tomorrow, May 28th. At the same time, an airdrop for the new Terra tokens will also be organized:

“The LUNA airdrop will take place with the first block of the new Terra channel, likely on or around May 28, 2022, 06:00:00 GMT.”

Those still in possession of old LUNA or UST will receive with the airdrop new LUNA tokens on a pro-rata basis, according to an elaborate procedure. According to Terra, users won’t have to worry about anything else. New LUNAs will automatically be credited to user wallets with the Airdrop.

Only those who have their tokens on deposit with an exchange should approach the exchange to find out how the airdrop will be implemented.

Some of the exchanges that support airdrop include Binance, Kraken, Huobi Global, Bitrue, Bybit, HitBTC, Okcoin, OKX Gateio KuCoin, LBank, Cryptocom, FTX, Bitfinex, Bitget, and MECX Global.
