A four-man motorcycle crew was out and about in the Salzkammergut on Wednesday. In Steinbach/Att. an Ennser (63) crashed into the guardrail and was thrown over it. He died in front of his friends.
A 63-year-old from Enns went on a motorcycle tour with three friends on Wednesday, coming from Gmunden via the L544 Großalmstraße to Steinbach. He was in second place in the group when, at around 12.15 p.m., he overtook the man in front in a slight left-hand bend just before km 20.4 was thrown over the guardrail by the motorcycle and came to rest there. His friends immediately set the rescue chain in motion. Due to the serious injuries, the 63-year-old motorcycle driver tragically died at the scene of the accident.
