Terror Zones Introduces Diablo II Resurrected Patch 2.5

It’s time for the Lord of Terror and his brethren to redefine the laws that govern Sanctuary. With patch 2.5 of Diablo II: Resurrected, Blizzard is introducing new in-game elements that will energize the world. Shattered Charms come to end the reign of Immunities, while Terror Zones will aid progression. And with all that, season 2 is coming to an end for the end of the year.

Zones of terror, a recurring event

Thoughts to facilitate the progression until level 99 while avoiding the loop Diablo, Nihlathal, Baal, the Zones of terror are events which will intervene in any Sanctuary. These are unlocked once the Lord of Destruction (Baal) killed, and only for the difficulty in which he was defeated. It will not be possible to see Terror Zones in Hell Mode if Baal was only killed in Nightmare Mode.

Every hour, the zones are activated, notified by tremors on the screen. A chat message will also be present to notify players that they are entering one. In order to find them, the closest relay point is highlighted in purple. In this zone of terror, the monsters are more powerful, having a higher level and thus bringing back more experience.

Charms broken, the end of immunity

Among the big changes in patch 2.5 of Diablo II: Resurrected, the appearance of broken charms is noteworthy. Especially thought for the late game and the Hell mode, they make it possible to counterbalance the immunity to certain types of damage of the monsters. This will facilitate access to this mode for all classes, but without making it too simple. There are 6 in total, one for each damage type, but with a very strong backlash.

With the keyword Broken they have, a monster’s immunity turns into 95% resistance. And this applies before any other resistance penalty the player may benefit from. Pets and summons also benefit from this bonus, but also from the penalty. In order not to make these charms too powerful, they come with a major flaw. The same element to which they remove immunity is reduced for the wearer.

  • The Black Slot
    • Monster magic immunity broken
    • Magic Resistance – 45% to – 65%
  • The Bone Breaker
    • Monster physical immunity broken
    • Physical damage received increased from 10% to 30%
  • The Ice Break
    • Monster cold immunity broken
    • Magic Resistance – 70% to – 90%

But to be able to access these charms, we will have to wait until the launch of season 2.
