Tesco: 8% growth in turnover in the 1st quarter

(CercleFinance.com) – Tesco yields less than 1% in London, after a point of activity of the food distribution group for its first quarter 2023-24, from which emerges a turnover of more than 14.8 billion pounds sterling, up 8.2% like-for-like.

Faced with significant cost-of-living pressures on its customers, the British group says it has reduced the prices of its everyday essentials, and sees ‘encouraging signs that inflation is starting to slow in the market’.

‘By focusing on our customers, we have had a good start to the year. We are well positioned for the coming months and reiterate our guidance for the full year,” added CEO Ken Murphy.
