(CercleFinance.com) – Tesco has announced that it will be the first major UK retailer to ban all baby wipes containing plastic from its shelves, from March 14.
The supermarket, which is the biggest seller of baby wipes in the UK, already stopped using plastic in its own baby wipes two years ago.
Plastic-free wipes include wet toilet paper and cleaning wipes.
Tesco started making its own plastic-free wet wipes in 2020 and have since switched to biodegradable viscose as it breaks down much faster.
