Tesla boss: Long break after surgery: Musk continues to wriggle Zuckerberg because of cage fight

Tesla boss: Long break after surgery
Musk keeps Zuckerberg floundering over cage fight

Bloody cage fight or just verbal cockfighting between two super rich? Recent statements by meta boss Zuckerberg and Tesla boss Musk raise doubts about an arena duel. The latter indicates an operation and a month-long break. The venue is also up in the air again.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg remains skeptical that tech billionaire Elon Musk will engage in a cage fight with him. After Musk announced that the fight should be fought in front of a historic backdrop in Italy, Zuckerberg noted on Saturday night: “If he ever agrees to an actual date, you’ll hear from me.” Until then, “Please assume there is no agreement on anything he claims.”

Tesla CEO Musk also wrote on Friday that he needed surgery for a problem with his right shoulder blade, from which he had to recover for a few months. Zuckerberg, 39, trains with martial arts trainers and is visibly fitter than Musk, 52.

A few days ago, the Tesla boss wrote on his online platform X (formerly Twitter) that he lifts weights at work because he has no time for training. Zuckerberg, on the other hand, published a photo on his X competitor app Threads that showed him during a training match in an octagonal cage in his garden. “I love this sport and have been ready to fight since the day Elon challenged me,” he wrote.

Musk had claimed on Friday that the fight should be hosted by the foundations of the two tech billionaires and not by the fight league UFC. He spoke to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano and they promised an “epic location” for the fight. However, it will not be Rome Sangiuliano clarified shortly afterwards. The prospect of the fight first surfaced in June. Musk challenged Zuckerberg, who agreed. After initial publicity, radio silence followed, leaving many doubting that the tech billionaires would come together in the ring.
