To a few months from the launch of its production, the Cybertruck displays record pre-orders.
The first copies of this long-awaited electric pickup are expected sometime next year.
Tesla Cybertruck, a reality in 2023 (?)
Slowly, but surely, Tesla is preparing for the big launch of its electric pickup: the Cybertruck. If we already know the delivery date of the first heavyweight signed Tesla, this highly anticipated SUV should arrive in the course of the year 2023.
Presented in 2019, the Cybertruck quickly became Tesla’s Arlesian. The production of the model had also been repeatedly postponed, so much so that pre-orders had been closed in many markets. However, this new generation pick-up seems destined for enormous success, according to the impressive number of reservations.
Already more than 1.5 million pre-orders!
Indeed, Tesla indicates that its electric pickup has accumulated more than 1.5 million pre-orders all over the world. For the record, remember that the vehicle had already recorded more than 250,000 reservations just one week after its presentation. A figure to put into perspective, however, since it suffices to pay 100 dollars to pre-order the pickup, the sum being refundable. Added to this is a final sale price which should be revised upwards, and which could also be a source of many withdrawals.
Still, the production of this Tesla Cybertruck will be entrusted to the Gigafactory based in Austin, Texas, with a target set for the first half of 2023 with regard to the first assemblies.
We will therefore have to wait a few more months to know the number of “real” orders for this Cybertruck. We will then be able to see if the latter is really able to respond to the many statements (necessarily very positive) from Elon Musk about him. The latter had notably declared that the Cybertruck was “ the best product ever created by the American firm “.
