Side software, Tesla demonstrates great efficiency both in its electric vehicles and via its Android and iOS application. However, there is no official smartwatch app that allows you to obtain information or control various parameters of the manufacturer’s cars. Elon Musk recently reacted to this subject.
The billionaire responded on Twitter/X in the affirmative to an owner who was wondering if it would be possible in the future to unlock her Tesla with an Apple Watch or other connected watches. The latter found herself locked out of her vehicle because her phone had run out of battery, which prevented her from using her digital key.
Never before have Elon Musk or Tesla discussed the possibility of deploying a connected watch application. We therefore have no clue as to the capabilities or the release period of this new solution.
The 9to5Mac site believes that the best would be to be able to automatically unlock/lock your Tesla and manage various settings, “like pre-conditioning the cabin, enabling/disabling Sentry Mode, remotely starting their car, and more”.

9to5Mac points out in passing that iPhone users have asked Tesla for a Live Activity to monitor the charge of their vehicle. However, the company has yet to respond to this request. The media also adds that Rivian recently added this functionality and confirmed the development of an option to unlock its cars using the Apple Watch.
