Sources previously told Reuters in September that the automaker was moving closer to an innovation that would allow it to pressure-cast almost the entire electric vehicle underbody in one piece, an advance that would speed up production and reduce costs, allowing thus potentially offering an even cheaper vehicle and accessing the mass market.
