Elon Musk’s group has long been promising a mass-market car at a low price aimed at mass adoption. It could therefore be the vehicle in question. The Reuters source, speaking on condition of anonymity, did not mention when production would begin. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, visited the Gruenheide site, near Berlin, on Friday after attending the AI summit in the United Kingdom. Musk took the opportunity to thank the staff for their work. He would also have taken this opportunity to inform the teams of this project to design a 25,000 euro vehicle, according to the Reuters agency source.
Sources previously told Reuters in September that the automaker was moving closer to an innovation that would allow it to pressure-cast almost the entire electric vehicle underbody in one piece, an advance that would speed up production and reduce costs, allowing thus potentially offering an even cheaper vehicle and accessing the mass market.
