A few days ago, Tesla’s head of investor relations, Martin Viecha, shared that the Tesla Semi might be his favorite Tesla product. A range of 800 kilometers with a full charge between charges seems like an excellent compromise for a long-haul commercial semi-trailer, because this represents approximately 8 hours of driving, after which a break is mandatory. Drivers will then have to go to the charging areas provided for this purpose. It is also recalled that these could eventually consume as much as a small town.
Tesla has therefore likely exceeded expectations with its electric truck, which should hit the roads by the end of 2022. Indeed, on December 1, PepsiCo should receive its order for Tesla Semi. Tesla is inviting a limited number of retail investors to the event, which will take place at Gigafactory Nevada.
