At Tesla’s annual general meeting of shareholders, company CEO Elon Musk revealed that two new electric vehicles were in development, with one already in production. One point remains to be clarified regarding the latter: has mass production already started, or was Musk hinting at the construction of the first prototypes, some of which have been seen on the roads?
Remained quite evasive on the subject, the whimsical billionaire has in any case shared a teaser image presenting the profile of a new model of Tesla electric car. A new livery that will be produced at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Shanghai, strengthening the brand’s presence in the electric vehicle market in China.

In the electric car landscape, a mysterious compact Tesla prototype has been seen in China in recent months. Looking like a cross between a Tesla Model Y and a Mazda CX-30, the vehicle was hidden under heavy camouflage.

Apart from the integration of a 53 kWh LFP battery, the characteristics of this model, which could be called Tesla Model 2 or Model A, remain unclear. More compact and more affordable, it will aim to complement Tesla’s current range, positioning itself below the Model 3.

The second product unveiled by Elon Musk is a compact van. This electric vehicle would be available in two versions: a commercial version intended for professionals, offering transport space optimized for commercial activities, and a version for individuals, meeting the needs of transporting people. This Tesla electric van will be equipped with a 100 kWh “high nickel” battery, similar to that used in the Tesla Model S, Model X and Cybertruck.
While no launch date has been specified, these two new electric cars are meant to boost Tesla’s overall sales. Elon Musk believes that these two future models could be in high demand, helping to strengthen Tesla’s position in the electric vehicle market in France and around the world.
