The Fujifilm X-T4 scores in the test with a consistently good performance – and thus takes overall victory. We show what the mirrorless system camera can do in detail.
Compared to its predecessor, the X-T3, the Fujifilm X-T4 only offers detailed improvements in terms of photo and video quality. On the other hand, the X-T4 has become faster overall. In addition, Fujifilm has given the series a 5-axis image stabilizer for the first time, which alone could be worth an upgrade. Fujifilm promises a compensation of five to six light values here. We only got two to three f-stops in the test, but the stabilizer is still a real help with longer exposures and videos.
Due to the overall outstanding performance, the mirrorless system camera is therefore in first place on the list of the best (DSLR / DSLM to APSC) – just ahead of the Fujifilm X-T3 and the Panasonic Lumix DC-G9 (see ratings below).
Our conclusion at the time of the test:
“Fujifilm is continuing its unusual success story with the X-T4. The mirrorless system camera impressed in the test with its outstanding image and video quality, plus a novelty that makes the hearts of all Fujifans beat faster: The X-T4 is the first model in the XT series to have an integrated image stabilizer.”

The Fujifilm X-T4 is an excellent system camera that leaves little to be desired. If you expect even more image quality, you should look around at the full-frame cameras – but then you have to pay more than double the price.
