Tetris in…movie! The trailer of the biopic on the history of the famous video game with the star of Kingsman

The famous video game Tetris is entitled to its own film on AppleTV+. Check out the trailer for this explosive thriller about the men who made Tetris a cult game!

Just at the mention of his name, the music should already be ringing in your head. Tetris, the famous puzzle video game, is the subject of a film, soberly called Tetris, to be discovered from March 31 on Apple TV+.

This feature film directed by Jon S. Baird (Stan & Ollie), which is intended to be in the same vein as The Social Network or The Founder, looks back on the legal battle that raged in the 1980s to obtain the rights to the famous video game.

Tetris is worn by Taron Egerton (Rocketman, the Kingsman franchise), who plays Henk Rogers, a Dutch video game entrepreneur and developer, known for producing the first Japanese RPG The Black Onyx and for securing the rights to Tetris for Nintendo at the end of the 1980s.

But it was not easy for Henk Rogers since he risked everything for everything when he went to the USSR, to ally himself with the creator Alexey Pajitnov (Nikita Efremov) and thus make known the game around the world.

Written by Noah Pink and inspired by an incredible true story, this film also features Toby Jones, Roger Allam, Anthony Boyle, Togo Igawa, Ken Yamamura and Ben Miles in its cast.

If we trust its rhythmic trailer to the sound of “The Final Countdown” by the group Europe, Tetris promises to be an explosive thriller against the backdrop of the Cold War, with traitors, unlikely heroes and a hellish race against the watch.

The Tetris movie will be available on Apple TV+ on March 31, 2023.
