Teyana Taylor is the “Sexiest Woman Alive” of “Maxim” magazine. The photo series was particularly unique.
Teyana Taylor (30) has been named “Sexiest Woman Alive” by “Maxim” magazine. Taylor is the first black woman to top the list. This first place deserves the cover photo, of course: It shows the singer in a cut-off tank top, pants with a camouflage pattern and an impressive six-pack. In the magazine, she models in other looks that are both revealing and quite relaxed at the same time. And that has it’s reason.
“Someone pinch me !!!!” writes Taylor on Instagram for a series of photos from the shoot – and describes the unusual situation from which this arose. According to Taylor, as an entrepreneur and mother of two, she hardly has time to be or feel sexy. She came to the shoot with practically no make-up, no hair, in sweatpants and a beanie. She had expected she could get ready and put on a wig.
That’s how the shoot went
The photographer Gilles Bensimon (77) saw her and said: “Let’s take photos! I want you to stay like this!” Taylor then describes her train of thought on Instagram: “Do I understand correctly, I will be the ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ – in sweatpants and with that hair?” And this is how it should be: In fact, pictures of this outfit, with jogging pants and plaited pigtails, made it into the issue.
Taylor’s career started at a young age when she staged the choreography for the video for Beyoncé’s (39) single “Ring the Alarm”. In 2007 she signed a recording contract with Pharrell Williams (48) label and has been working with Kanye West (44 )’s GOOD Music label since 2012. She has now released three albums and also appeared on West’s album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”. She is also active as an actress: in 2010, for example, she appeared in “Stomp the Yard: Homecoming”.
