TF1 and M6 will buy France TV’s stake in Salto if their merger is successful – 03/24/2022 at 18:03


(AOF) – Following the announcement, on May 17, 2021, of the proposed merger of the TF1 and M6 groups, the France Télévisions group expressed its desire, in the event of the completion of the merger operation, to sell its stake in Salto, the subscription video-on-demand service owned equally by France Télévisions, TF1 and M6. Under the agreement signed today, the TF1 and M6 groups undertake, in the event of the completion of their merger project, to buy out the 33.33% stake in France Télévisions for a final value of 45 million euros.

The new group would then own 100% of Salto to develop a streaming project.

The agreement being conditional on the completion of the merger of the M6 ​​and TF1 groups, Salto will remain jointly controlled by its three shareholders throughout the 2022 financial year to continue the development of the platform, specifies the audiovisual group.
