TFT: Summary of the first Team Aegis offline event

The founders of the structure and the smiling and available players, an all-you-can-eat buffet, dozens of self-service PCs and a community that was able to respond present: this is what the Meet & Greet of the newly founded Team Aegis.

In the midst of passionate exchanges on the sometimes questionable balancing of TFT, could we learn more about the direction the team was planning to take? Let’s take a tour of the event to answer it.

Un33d, No Bowl and Magarky

A shy but effective show

An almost providential evening after the event desert of recent years of health crisis, the Meet & Greet proposed by Aegis has found its audience: 150 seats available, which almost all left on the evening of the announcement even though the event was scheduled for the following week, a Monday evening. Should we conclude that the team was only able to meet its Parisian public? Well surprisingly, no. Whether by chance of the calendar or by the desire not to miss the evening, the community came from all over France.

Even more surprising, the number of people who support the project Aegis – and who were present at thespot – are not even players of TFT, but simply the historical community of the founders and/or players of the structure. The latter has therefore achieved the feat of federate a large audience who was quick to show his support by coming to attend his first offline event despite the time and distance constraints. It should also be noted that non-players were very quickly initiated by fans of the game thanks to the computers available throughout the evening. We were treated to many coaching !

To entertain the crowd, the players improvised a show match in the arena of thespot which unfortunately ended in a spectacular Top 8 of Magarky (we do not recommend the Cho’Gath AD, really) but who will be saved by A33d who take first place. Following this, a photobooth was organized in the same arena to be able to take photos with the six streamers.

Few events during the evening, therefore, but given those that took place and the almost total availability of all the members ofAegis throughout the event, the message was passed: the structure wants to be close to its public.

What’s next in ideas?

Although some members of the structure are used to the front of the professional sports scene like A33d, others are still young in the industry and we wish them to find their place. The player “No luck” told us that it was the first time that he considered his passion as a job, that it became really concrete, and even if it could be a source of concern, we felt very clearly the pride he had in to be able to participate in the adventure Aegis.

With such passion shared between founders, players and the community, it’s clear that the Team Aegis has not finished talking about her. If we look forward to the first tournaments TFT to be able to witness the beginnings of the structure in the deep end, we also look forward to knowing what projects it will turn to tomorrow. Impossible to get a clear and frank answer during the evening because the information is still secret (more or less), but it is clear that the colors ofAegis will spread to other games, and when we know the individual appetites of the founders, a team League of Legends and a roster street fighter should be seriously considered.

Anyway, good luck to the whole team for the future!

From Riot Game to Riot Games, the studio now has a range of games that goes beyond its main license, League of Legends. An almost too classic phenomenon of the video game world, all these franchises have given rise to pale copies that have made no effort to conceal themselves from it…
