Chain Twitch MGG will soon close its doors to take a little summer vacation. To end this season in style, however, we will have the right to a small event… the final of the TFT Series ! Accompanied by a crew of passionate and fascinating casters, we were able to follow the qualifications week after week by discovering new nuggets. Only 8 competitors passed the last cut and they all meet on Friday at 7:00 p.m. for the grand finale.
To take full advantage of it, the 8 finalists will all be in physical live from Webedia Arena. As a reminder, €5,000 of cash-prize are to be shared!
Who are the 8 finalists?
The various qualifying tournaments were completely open. There were no privileged and only the ranking in the ladder counted. After 6 weeks of bitter struggle where you could win up to 350 points per tournament, the 8 players who accumulated the most MGG points obtained their ticket for the grand final.
- 1 – PCS Xperion (1,500 points)
- 2 – AEG Un33d (525 points)
- 3 – Solary Voltariux (500 points)
- 4 – CD PetitChaton (475 points)
- 5 – BGN Kenobi (400 points)
- 6 – Bybz (375 points)
- 7 – PCS Kalflo (350 points)
- 8 – Opal (325 points)
Several well-known French structures are represented in this grand finale. AEGIS, Solary or even BeGenius will try to win the title but other independent candidates could also create a surprise… while getting noticed. We will also highlight a dream line-up to comment on the games of the final: Dokhy, Shaunz, Narkuss and ShinoPavels.
What is the format of the competition?
MGG’s TFT Series is changing up the formula a bit for the grand finale. Depending on your top, you earn points with the following scale:
- top 1: 10 points
- top 2: 8 points
- top 3: 7 points
- top 4: 6 points
- top 5: 5 points
- top 6: 4 points
- top 7: 3 points
- top 8: 1 points
Then once a player reaches the bar of 22 dots, he obtains the status of finalist. Once a player is a finalist, all they need to do is make a top 1 to win the tournament and end the competition. The points are then used to rank the other competitors. Note that there is a real bonus for the top 1 and a small penalty for the bottom 8.
The final can theoretically end in 4 parts. But it can obviously drag on if the games are hotly contested. There may be multiple players with finalist status at the same time.
