(CercleFinance.com) – Thales announced on Monday that it had won, in collaboration with Nokia, a contract to supply a new communications system to the London Underground.
The renewal of the agreement concluded with Transport for London (TfL), the authority in charge of transport for the City of London, provides for the deployment of an integrated communications solution.
This multi-service network must make it possible to encompass radio systems, transmission infrastructure and security systems, including video surveillance cameras.
Nokia, for its part, will provide the IP/MPLS core network routers necessary for the implementation of the project.
The financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
