(CercleFinance.com) – Thales and Schiebel announce that they have won a contract with the British Ministry of Defense to supply an aerial drone system aimed at equipping Royal Navy warships with ‘eye in the sky’ type protection capabilities ‘.
This contract for the Peregrine program involves deploying a rotary-wing tactical drone equipped with powerful maritime surveillance sensors to protect a Type 23 frigate in operation.
In this program combining Schiebel’s aerial drone system capabilities and high-precision intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance sensors and systems from Thales, the latter will play the role of integrated systems prime contractor.
