(CercleFinance.com) – Thales announced on Tuesday the launch of an offer to help its customers secure their SAP business applications on the ‘cloud’.
This tokenization solution – certified by SAP – allows companies to protect data deemed sensitive in several applications from the German software designer.
Importantly, the offer reduces the time required to comply with the most stringent data security regulations, explains the defense and security group.
For the record, companies today must guarantee the confidentiality and security of sensitive data, particularly with regard to personal data (PII) and payment card information (PCI).
The so-called ‘Schrems II’ judgment in particular obliges all European companies to carry out individual assessments for each transfer of data to a non-European country in order to ensure their compliance.
Thales specifies that the launch of the ‘CipherTrust Tokenization’ offer is part of a long-term relationship with the Walldorf group on encoding, tokenization and management solutions.
Its solution was developed by the two organizations through an innovation lab set up by SAP.
