(CercleFinance.com) – The consortium led by Thales and CS GROUP has been notified by the Directorate General for Armaments (DGA) for the construction and deployment of the PARADE anti-drone combat capability for a total amount of 350 million euros over an 11-year period, including 33 million firm to date.
The modular and multi-mission PARADE system aims to securely detect, classify and neutralize micro and mini-drones. It can be used as part of a temporary deployment, for the protection of a fixed site or projected in external operations.
The PARADE system will notably reinforce the safety of the public and the infrastructures of two sporting events held in France: the 2023 Rugby World Cup and the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The first order concerns the acquisition of six PARADE anti-drone systems. By integrating French SMEs such as CerbAir, Exavision and MC2 Technologies as well as the Dutch company Robin, the PARADE system provides decision support and understanding of complex situations and will thus be able to neutralize micro-drones and mini-drones. . The market also includes operator training, maintenance and upgrades to the system and equipment.
