(CercleFinance.com) – Thales Alenia Space announces that it has been selected by the Italian Space Agency to develop the communication system for the international ICE Mapper mission on Mars.
The company will develop an antenna that will connect fixed or mobile infrastructure on Martian soil with Earth, in order to transmit radar images and scientific data collected on board.
This contract with a total value of approximately 22 million euros relates to Phase B1. As a reminder, Phase A was previously awarded to Thales Alenia Space in 2021 and successfully completed in 2022.
